I am pleased to announce that Emmanouil Angelakis has accepted to become the new Coordinator of our IMPRS, effective immediately.
Most of you know Manolis well as a former student in the IMPRS and currently postdoctoral researcher at the MPIfR. Please join the Board of the IMPRS in welcoming him and support him as he gets up to speed in his new role. You wil have the opportunity to meet him in person in his new role during Monday's IMPRS seminar.
At the same time, on behalf of the IMPRS Board, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Eduardo Ros, who has ended his term as Coordinator February 28, for his many contributions to the IMPRS program and community. Ms. Gabi Breuer has accepted the position of secretary of Prof. Michael Kramer, effective 1 March 2009. We are in the process of appointing a new secretary for the IMPRS and expect the position to be filled within a few weeks. Meanwhile, for any questions you might have please refer to the secretariates in your research group, or direct inquiries to Manolis Angelakis or myself.
I want to take the opportunity to thank Ms. Breuer, on behalf of the IMPRS Board, for her many
contributions to the IMPRS program. She has been one of the prominent faces of the program and been a fantastic support for IMPRS students and faculty alike.
